The Reindeer Are Coming:
Santa is bringing two live reindeer with him for you to admire, beginning Friday, November 28th and throughout the sales season.
Santa Arrives:
Visit Santa each weekend from 1:00pm - 4:00pm beginning Friday, November 28th.
Ride Our Tree Train "The Tannebaum Express" :
Join the fun for a free farm tour aboard our special "tree train" (weekends only)
Fish River Trees Tours:
Fish River Trees offers a fun-filled and educational tour of its Christmas Tree and nursery operation. We specialize in school tours for k-3 level, but groups of all ages are welcome. All tours must be scheduled in advance, and a small per person or per student fee is charged to cover expenses. Tours normally last 1-2 hours but can be tailored to specific needs. School tours are tailored for the individual group but normally include some of all of the following activities:
1. Tree Train Tour of the entire farm with singing, music, and educational stops
2. A Christmas Tree planting experience: children learn the basics of proper tree planting and care and participate in planting a tree. Students learn how trees grow, function of roots, soil, sun, etc.
3. A wreath and garland making demonstration. Children observe how wreaths and garland are made, understand why we decorate with wreaths and greenery and participate in decorating a wreath.
4. Walking tour: children learn the different types of evergreens/Christmas trees, experience the feel and various aromas of trees, and how they are grown in the field and nursery.
Adult tour groups are also welcome throughout the year. All aspects of tree farming, nursery operations, and specialty crop marketing are covered in our informative and enjoyable tours.
Cost:
Short tours: $2/per student
Long tours: $5/per student
